Erasing problem
I am using Flash MX.
I am sure there is a simple answer to my problem but I sure can't figure it out. ( I am still a novice at flash ) I have some text that I converted into a graphic instance. I want to simulate the text writing it's self out. I am doing this by erasing the text and very frequently adding keyframes. I will eventually reverse those keyframes and play the movie clip. The problem is that when I try to erase the text.... it re-appears after I let go of the mouse button. It's an aggrevating little problem... Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong that is preventing me from erasing. I have tried all of the options in the eraser but nothing is working. Thanks |

Okaaay....
I tried this right from the beginning. All I am trying to do at this point is erase a portion of the text. I have typed in the text and without doing anything else I tried to erase a portion of it. I can't do it. I have tried to convert this to a new symbol... movie clip, graphic and button (all though I see no point to converting to a button but I tried anyways). I couldn't erase then either. I tried to convert to a symbol and then break up the text...nothing again. Simply put... I can't erase anything without erasing all of it. Now I have done this before by following this tutorial http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorial...ng-Effect/4137 but nothing is working now. Does this mean that I am at a deadend? If you have any other observations... I am all for them |
