Cool Hard Drive Problem

Ok, I just connected an old Hard Drive to my computer. I have one CD-ROM Drive IDE, one SATA Hard Drive, A Floppy IDE, and two Hard Drive both on the same IDE cable. I put the second hard drive on just now. one is set on Master, one Slave. See Diagram below:

Motherboard--------Hard Drive Master--------------Hard Drive Slave

The Slave is the old one, with about 4 gigs on it. I intend to put RedHat on it. I connect it and all, finally get it to boot to XP, the Master drive. BIOS goes well, the drive is detected. Windows boots. No such Hard Drive present on the system. I fool with the Add New Hardware wizard, get the thing installed without anything. It still doesn't show up in My Computer. Device Manager says its working properly. What's Wrong???
