What version of Wordpress are you using? Bec. since the recent versions don't have a file named wp-blog-header.ph anymore, and I think you're using an odd old to call for that file. ^^

I just installed wordpress and was wondering the same thing. I downloaded a theme and kind of figured out how it would be to use your own theme. Make a name for your theme and upload it into the themes folder of your wp and it's files. Then login and go to "presentation" and your theme should be there, click your theme and it would say that it is now your default theme. They'll be another link on top called "theme editor" click that and there you can edit your theme

Hopefully that helped you out a bit. Like I said I just installed it myself so I'm learning as I go, too. But I'm assuming that's the way to do it

BTW, lovely layout
