Sliding Links?

Alright, well I had an idea for my webpage to make categories easier and such and I've seen it around before. I know that it's possible to have a link, click it and then more links slide out beneath it using JavaScript, but I was wondering if there was a way to do it without using java and all that stuff.

If anyone can help it would be very appreciated =D
